May GuoGuo Be 1 Year Old Forever.

If there is a function for GuoGuo's cuteness (well, as a function of his age), there must be a maximum around one year old. Is this a local maximum or a universal maximum? I don't know. I cannot foresee future, but I think it will be hard to beat.

How can you beat it when you have a baby who upon waking up, has no tears or screams but only smiles?

How can you beat it when you have a baby who tries to mimic everything you do, from clapping, cooking (well, remember he grasped the spoon as the first thing on his birthday celebration?), to laughing on a joke (even though he does not understand anything about the joke).

How can you beat it when you have a baby who makes every effort to make sure that his music cube is playing music all the time because he senses that you like him to do that?

How can you beat it when you have a baby who kisses you without you even asking (well, most of the time) when you hold him?

How can you beat it when you have a baby who kisses on both of your cheeks (oh you should see how he moves from one side to the other) and pulls both of your hands onto his arms when you sit next to him, because he wants you to hold/hug him?

How can you beat it when you have a baby who does not talk but makes all kinds of cutest noises?

I just LOVE this age. I mean, how can I not?

This is way sweeter than three months ago when GuoGuo still didn't understand much from us; and I am sure this is also way sweeter than three months into the future when GuoGuo understands too much from us and knows how to "manipulate" us to get what he wants. :-)

This is also the time when I can simply play and have fun with GuoGuo without thinking too much about "education." Oh I hate that word. Why cannot GuoGuo just grow up playing instead of "studying'? I know he can, but I would be under too much pressure that way.

GuoGuo already threw a few tantrums in the past weeks. I know the days of terrible two are just around the corner. Honey, can you be 1 year old forever? :-)
